It was a very bright porch with lovely
views, but the 1970's decor just wasn't in keeping with our
renovation goals. So we began to turn the decorating clock
back to the 1770's...
The carpet and paneling had to go. To our
delight, under the paneling was beautiful vintage Dutch clap
boarding.
Removing the drop ceiling restored the original
pitch to the room's ceiling line and made for a perfect backdrop for
the harvested tongue and groove "beaded" board from the small
outbuilding.
Cutting the opening in the wall from the main Tea
Room to the porch.
